It is with great pleasure, excitement and humility that I announce that I am running for Mayor of West Orange in the upcoming November 2014 election!
After speaking with the residents of our community over the past several months, it is clear that you want change. We are all tired of the spike in armed robberies and other violent crimes in addition to crippling property taxes making West Orange the 7th highest taxed community in the State of New Jersey.
As a former mayor and retired West Orange police officer, I have a track record of success addressing these issues and understand your concerns for they are my concerns as well. When mayor, I was able to bring in $100 million in alternative funding sources to jump start redevelopment, which, combined with other fiscally responsible measures, helped stabilize property taxes and reduce crime by 22% (NJ state police crime statistics). Help me do the same in our community here and now.
With more than 25 years in West Orange and as one who was raised, went to school, volunteered and worked in our township, I know how great our community can be and I have a unique vision for our future while embracing the best of our past.
Your support can make a difference. Please join our campaign effort and help get taxes and crime under control in West Orange by choosing me as your candidate for Mayor.
In my heart, I know that together we can create a better community and quality of life for our families.
In New Jersey, any voter can now vote by mail. You must request your mail ballot before October 27.
